The Grades 7-9 CS & IT Program at the Innovation Center is designed to educate and empower students who are interested in pursuing careers or further education in the fields of CS & IT.
The program engages students in projects that help them develop in-demand CS & IT knowledge as well as transportable skills like creative thinking, leadership, and communication. By collaborating in a hands-on environment, students will learn skills and standards that are aligned with WA State Common Core as well as the CS & IT industry so their learning connects to the real world. Students will also be equipped to earn professional certifications such as Microsoft’s MOS and MTA, CompTIA ITF+ and A+ as well as build an impressive portfolio.
Upon completing this course students will continue to the Grades 10-12 block where they will be connected to registered apprenticeships with local businesses.

1 one inch white binder that you will use to store worksheets.
It should be a regular 3 ring binder. We want the Core Class binders to be white. You will also need 2 dividers to organize your Math and ELA worksheets in the binder. |

16 | Plug in earbuds | Get cheap ones, 2-3 pairs.
We will be using these daily. Don’t get bluetooth earbuds because they won’t work. Get the simple plug in types. |
17 | A storage box that you will use to store all your supplies. We will label it in class if you can’t do it at home. | 1 box.
You can get a plastic tub with a lid that is large enough to hold your supplies. We will keep it in class so don’t buy anything too fancy or too expensive. A shoebox size tub should be fine. |
